2019 Overview
Behind every innovation, every creation, every invention that we enjoy, is a DREAMER and a THINKER.  Someone willing to put current conventions aside and dream about "what if". Someone willing to make mistakes and see "opportunity". Someone willing to get messy, think big, follow their passion, and do what's not been done before.

"Someone"  like Northville Public School students...and educators...

By connecting the importance of STEAM in school to every day life, students may be more likely to pursue a career in a STEAM-related field. The Northville STEAM Fair engages and exposes our students to inquiry-based activities to get the gears in their heads to turn and connect career pathways to their interest in how things work.

Guiding students through a STEAM project and activity can be an impactful way of meeting today’s curriculum standards. Student participation in our one-day fair is an opportunity for collaboration across curriculum and exposure to real-life applications of Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Math.

During the day, students from 4th grade will be lead through several activities and demonstrations developed by an estimated 40-50 teams of students of all ages. These demonstrations will bring to life what the 4th graders are learning in the classroom.

In the evening, parents, all district students, and community members are invited to participate and experience the projects that the student teams created. These projects will provide students with independent learning allowing them to start from scratch and end with an activity others can play and of which they can be proud.

The Fair is made possible by a grant from the Northville Educational Foundation and supported by the community through sponsorships and volunteers.

The mission of the STEAM Fair is to engage and inspire students to be curious about STEAM degrees and careers.
